what fits into the body of two weeks? the
death of a beloved pet, a decision to move out of your apartment or the
move itself, the awakening to life through meditation, a collapse into
depression,
hitting the jackpot of the lottery, buying your child a
pony, realizing you are so very strong alone, having a heartattack
during a fancy business dinner, leaving home without even a suitcase
and finding
yourself sleeping in an open field next to cows mumbling their ardent
lullabies, falling in love with a stranger on the bus and tracking him
home, loosing or gaining two kilos weight, crying while reading a poem
out loud to a friend because it touches the very truth of your own
feelings, getting all crazy dancing to britney spears, watching the
banana peel next to your bed slowly decay, emptying out your room until
there's only the most essential left, grabbing your guitar and walking
down your city streets while strumming songs that you barely practised..
it could be anything.
things happen to you, just as you make things happen. you're out there
in the vast sea of life, don't be alarmed; instead, dive into it. go to
the very bottom, feel your fingers examine the ground, study its
texture, regard the openness, the variety around you, sing with the
jellyfish, watch sharks from afar with tender curiosity, float with sea
anemones, take your time to attach with the living around you and
embrace it. gush up right into the sky when you are ready for it, don't
ask for any allowance. use all the space you need, beam like the firy
red painting around the sun in the evening hours when life seems rich
and empowering and unfettered.//thoughts, 25.09.12
